About the Role

As the Care Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care for all residents. You will oversee care planning, assessments, and clinical governance processes, while leading, mentoring, and supporting the care team to deliver services aligned with the Aged Care Quality Standards.

You will work closely with the Residential Services Manager and be supported by central functions across quality, people & culture, and compliance—allowing you to focus on what matters most: resident wellbeing and team culture.

This role offers the chance to combine clinical leadership with quality and safety oversight, contributing to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance across the home.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support the care team to deliver safe, person-centred care
  • Oversee resident assessments, care planning, and documentation
  • Monitor incidents, clinical indicators, and infection control practices
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and maintain audit readiness
  • Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and legislation
  • Engage residents, families, and representatives in the care process
  • Contribute to funding optimisation through accurate resident classification


About You

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • At least 5 years’ clinical experience, including 1+ year in aged care
  • Previous experience as a Care Manager, Care Coordinator, or senior nurse leader
  • Strong knowledge of aged care standards, compliance, and clinical governance
  • A compassionate, resident-focused leadership style with excellent communication skills
  • Postgraduate training in gerontology, leadership, or management (desirable)
